How do I find out what model my Washburn electric guitar is?
I have a Washburn electric guitar that is approximately 10 years old. I can’t find a model # or anything on the guitar itself. How can I find out what model it is?
I did check on the washburn website and tried to compare just by what it looks like but there are so many that look similiar so I can’t be sure.
go to http://www.washburn.com/instruments/electrics/ and see if any match it.

Washburn DK20CET Acoustic Electric Guitar Kit $249 Cutaway dreadnought body : Washburn WT-82 acoustic-electric preamp and tuner : Select spruce top : Mahogany back and sides : Gold die-cast tuners : Rosewood bridge and fingerboard : Celluloid binding on body, headstock and neck Steeped in the tradition of fine instrument making, Washburn Guitar’s dynamic 120-history began in Chicago in 1883. The original guitar factory was located just blocks away from Maxwell Street. In the early 1920s, Maxwell Street itself would emerge as the epicenter of a musical movement. Often considered the first entry point for thousands of African-Americans arriving from the Mississippi Delta, Maxwell Street became a hotbed for Delta Blues in its most raw and dramatic form. Newcomers and established musicians alike would listen and jam with one another in an atmosphere void of commercial influence. Once recorded, this powerful, emotional style of music would not only become the dominant form of blues but would radically change the emerging sound of rock and roll. There, on Maxwell Street, as well as in alleyways, city sidewalks, bars, and honky-tonks around the country, Washburn guitars were embraced as the very embodiment and reflective spirit of the hard-working musicians who played them as well as the employees who designed and crafted them. It is the same spirit that guides Washburn to this day. The history of Washburn Guitars is the history of a wide range of musicians. From blues players who shaped rock n roll to multi-platinum recording artists to emerging guitar virtuosos. It is a history that can be heard and experienced every time you turn on the radio or listen to a live performance. |

Washburn J3TSK $509 Washburn J3TSK Washburn J3TSK Description: Hollowbody guitars are lighter and more resonant than their solid body counter parts. This gives a somewhat mellower tone to the guitar making it well suited to Jazz. The J3 uses a rosewood bridge with a Washburn jazz tailpiece, and a maple body & top. Block inlays adorn the fully bound rosewood fretboard. The expected quality was the clean voicings delivered by the medium-output humbuckers. The bright acoustic (un-amplified) voice of the J3 translated very well into a clean amp channel. Mellow, Sweet and Bright all came with the flick of the pickup selector and could be nuanced nicely with fretting and pick techniques. The surprise came when I cranked the gain on a valve amp and dropped to bridge pickup. Suddenly it was Rockabilly Riot time and I blasted out a jumping version of “I got stung”. What on the face of it seemed to be a serious Jazz-Blues guitar became a huge bunch of fun to rock with.
