How does the quality of Mexican made Fender strats compare to American made?

My impression is that Mexican made Strats aren’t as good as American but does anyone know for sure?

the only difference is the wood, bridge and stuff like that. But they are both amazing. Mexican strats are obviously the cheaper buy but they are almost as good as the american strats.
