How do you pop off the knobs on a Fender Squire?

I have just bought a fender squire and peeled off the plastic cover when some plastic stayed under the knobs. How do I pop the knobs off to pull the plastic off?

There’s no trick to it. Just pull them firmly outward.

If you’re not strong enough or can’t grip it well enough, you can try two things:

Wrap the knob it a cloth (damp it a little if necessary for grip), and use pliers or a vice grip to get a better handle on it, then pull it directly out. Be careful not to pull it diagonally, as that’ll bend the shafts on the potentiometers, or possibly even damage the guitar itself.

Or stick a butter knife or something under the knob, and use that as a lever to pry it upward. Again, be careful to push it directly outward.
