Is the Gibson Songwriter Deluxe Cutaway Modern Classic a good beginners acoustic guitar?

If you can afford $2,150, that is an excellent choice for a beginner. In fact, it really might be too much guitar for a beginner.

All-in-all, you can never go wrong with a Gibson. The only issue is the price. If you can comfortably afford it, go for it.

Personally, if I was getting a beginner a guitar, and particularly if the beginner was young, I would go with something like this:

Or, this:

Or, this:

Go down to your local music store and play them all and buy the one that sounds and feels best.
