Application:

True single-coil pickup that makes a Strat® sound like a Tele®. Recommended for country, pop, rockabilly, blues, jam, classic rock and heavy rock.

Description:

If you want the twangy, muscular punch of a gutsy Tele® in your Strat, the APST-1 is for you. One of the secrets is the copper-coated steel bottom plate. Combine that with the aggressive coil windings, the Alnico 2 magnets wrapped in plain enamel wire, and the result is a high-output, single-coil, twang-beast.

Complete setup:

Recommended for the bridge position with either APS-2s (for a maple fingerboard) or SSL-2s (for a rosewood fingerboard) in the neck and middle positions.

For all well-balanced instruments. Works equally well with maple and rosewood fingerboards

Available mods:

Reverse wound, reverse polarity (RW/RP) middle pickups for hum canceling in positions "2" and "4" on the five-way switch. Tapped version for dual output levels.
