I traded my dad’s Ibanez Jem for a rare strat and now he’s really mad..?
It was a 555 Jem, and the guy told me the Stratocaster was a 50’s original, the only markings apart from stratocaster are Squire on the headstock, he said it was worth double the cost of a new Jem.
What can I tell my dad? He hit the roof but I got him a good deal!
Tell him you’re sorry?
Maybe the guitar had sentimental value to your dad. Or maybe the guy was feeding you a line so he could rip you off. Why would you trade something that wasn’t yours? Shouldn’t you have told your dad about it & let him make the decision?
Sorry- I’m with your dad on this one.
