seagull s6 slim or a martin 000×1?
im having trouble deciding on which one i should buy.
i tried out the martin 000×1 and i really liked it. i like how easy it was to play and it had a pretty good tone to it. i also tried a seagull maritime GT (im not sure which model it was) and it came close to a martin custom D thats $899. unfortunately, the local guitar shop didnt have a seagull s6 slim that i could compare the martin 000×1.
the only thing is i havent developed that good of an ear to know which guitar sounds better. any help?
The sound is the question. I have been a Martin guy for years. I’ve got 2. A D1R and a D28. Both super nice. Totally different sounds, but good guitars. Not to say a Seagull isn’t a good guitar, but when I go into a shop and the salesman hands me a Seagull or a Taylor, or a Gibson and says “here try this one. It sounds just as good as a Martin”. Well that tells me that Martin is the standard by which others rate their guitars. So for me? Martin. But you decide which one you like.
